We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing and coordinating the shipping, receiving, and distribution operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient processes, accurate inventory management, and timely shipments to meet customer demands.
Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities.
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, and products.
Ensure accuracy in inventory control and maintain appropriate stock levels.
Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule shipments and track deliveries.
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
Resolve issues related to shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies.
Train and mentor shipping and receiving staff to ensure productivity and adherence to procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping and receiving areas.
Implement and enforce safety procedures and standards for handling and storing materials.
Utilize shipping software and SAP systems to process orders and maintain records.
Prepare and submit reports on shipping/receiving activities, inventory levels, and warehouse efficiency.
Proven experience as a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor or similar role.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
Knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and logistics.
Experience with inventory management and control procedures.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
Proficiency in using shipping software and SAP systems.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
