General Manager – Chemical Manufacturing and Packaging

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chemical Packaging General Manager to oversee and lead our chemical packaging operations. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in strategic planning, operational management, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in our packaging facility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the chemical packaging plant.

  • Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, safety, quality control, and logistics.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to chemical handling and packaging.

  • Lead and mentor a team of managers and supervisors to achieve production goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, R&D, and procurement to meet customer requirements and market demands.

  • Manage budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures to achieve profitability targets.

  • Implement and monitor KPIs to assess performance and drive operational excellence.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and employee development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA is a plus.

  • Proven experience in a senior management role within chemical packaging or manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge of chemical packaging processes, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

  • Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial management.

  • Ability to drive organizational change and implement best practices.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP systems; familiarity with SAP or similar software is preferred.
