Forklift Operator

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team at a prominent chemical packaging facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment within the factory premises. Safety and adherence to strict operational protocols are paramount in this role to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials and products within the factory.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling hazardous chemicals and materials.

  • Inspect forklifts before and after each shift, ensuring that they are in good working condition.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and storage areas.

  • Assist in inventory management by accurately recording materials movement and storage locations.

  • Follow specific instructions for handling and storing chemicals and hazardous materials.

  • Collaborate with warehouse and production team members to ensure efficient flow of materials.

  • Report any safety issues, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid forklift operator certification and previous experience operating a forklift in an industrial or manufacturing setting. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

  • Ability to work safely with hazardous materials and chemicals.

  • Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
